A Priest Who Temporarily Died Reveals He Went To Hell And Was Tortured To Rihanna’s “Umbrella”

A priest from Michigan claims that in 2016, he passed away after having a heart attack, went to Hell, and saw unimaginable acts of torment and agony there.

Priest Gerald Johnson says he had a vision in which he saw demons enslaving mankind and “walking on all fours like a dog and getting burned from head to toe. His eyes were bulging, and worse than that, he was wearing chains on his neck. He was like a hellhound.

But what was the cruelest form of torture Johnson witnessed?

He said that there is a region in hell where people can listen to music. However, not just any music. He was able to identify the songs “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” by Bobby McFerrin and “Umbrella” by Rihanna as being played during the torture.

Johnson made it clear that it wasn’t the original renditions of the songs, but rather a gang of demons singing them poorly as a means of punishment.

“Every word of every song was made to torture you for the fact that you didn’t worship God through music while you were on Earth,”  Johnson said.

“Umbrella” is a song from Rihanna’s third studio album, Good Girl Gone Bad, which was released in 2007.

It features American rapper Jay-Z, who co-wrote the song with producers Tricky Stewart and Kuk Harrell; The-Dream contributed additional writing. The song was rejected twice: first by Britney Spears’ label, who rejected it, and then by Mary J. Blige due to Grammy Awards timing.

In 2007, the song won two awards at the MTV Video Music Awards, although it was nominated for four. At the 50th Grammy Awards in 2008, “Umbrella” also garnered Rihanna and Jay-Z a Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration in addition to earning nominations for Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

The song was featured at No. 412 on Rolling Stone’s “The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time” in 2010 and at No. 332 in the 2021 update.
