Shatta Wale’s long-standing feud with his former manager, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as Bullgod, has once again made headlines.

Speaking in an interview on BTM Afrika with NY DJ, the outspoken Ghanaian dancehall artist opened up about Bullgod’s lawsuit against him.

His revelations offer insight into the ongoing saga. Here are eight key takeaways from the interview:

1. Shatta Wale’s Take on the Lawsuit

Shatta Wale claimed the lawsuit is primarily about money, stating, “Bulldog just wants to take his money.” He dismissed the legal action as being driven by personal motives rather than legitimate grievances.

2. The Financial Dispute

The lawsuit’s core stems from an unresolved financial matter between Shatta Wale and Bullgod dating back to their time working together.

3. An Attempt to Settle Out of Court

According to Shatta Wale, there had been discussions to resolve the matter amicably. “We agreed to settle the issue out of court,” he revealed, although the settlement has yet to be honoured.

4. Bulldog Was ‘Unavailable’ for Payment

Shatta Wale explained that efforts to make payment fell through because Bullgod was unavailable then. This, he claimed, added to the tension between them.

5. Allegations of Malice

The artist suggested that Bullgod’s decision to escalate the matter to court was an act of malice, pointing to strained relations between the two.

6. Shatta Wale’s Humorous Jab at Bullgod

True to his style, Shatta Wale injected humour into the situation, mocking Bullgod’s frequent visits to court. He joked, “You see Bulldog, if this is the house, this is the court, so he wakes up and goes to court anytime.”

7. A Habitual Court-Goer?

Building on his quip, Shatta Wale exaggerated that Bullgod treats court appearances like daily errands, saying, “When a chicken clucks, he goes to court. When a taxi driver toots the horn, he goes to court.”

8. The Feud Shows No Signs of Ending

Shatta Wale’s statements highlight the unresolved nature of his feud with Bullgod, suggesting that their relationship remains fraught despite attempts at reconciliation.
