According to a report from Hiphopdx, there seems to be a feud brewing between 50 Cent and Keith Sweat over some upcoming events and their attendance.

For a month now, Keith Sweat has been confirmed as one of the celebrities set to appear at 50’s Humor & Harmony Weekend in Shreveport, Louisiana from August 8-11. Specifically, he is scheduled to perform at the 50 Cent & Friends Concert on August 10 at the Municipal Auditorium in the city.

However, a recent series of Instagram posts on Friday (July 26) suggested that Sweat’s appearance might be in jeopardy. It all started with a post from 50 Cent, where he can be seen in a car, having a conversation on the phone about Sweat being hesitant to attend the event in person and instead offering to appear via Zoom.

50 Cent mentioned that Sweat’s reluctance stems from 50 not attending a major event for the “Make It Last Forever” singer a few days prior, as he will be receiving the Entertainer’s Key to New York City on August 3.

“This [ninja] @keithsweat is tripping,” 50 captioned his post.

He taunted Sweat by saying that the singer was “getting Diddy’s Key to the city” at the ceremony — Diddy was stripped of his Key to the City following the release of video of him assaulting Cassie.

“Now if he don’t show up in Shreveport, we ain’t fucking with him no more,” Fif continued.

Sweat hit back by playing a snippet of 50’s notorious 1999 song “How to Rob,” where he lyrically joked about robbing the singer (along with a who’s who of rap and R&B stars of the time).

“Hey Fif I gotta respond to you I’m definitely not coming to Shreveport now,” Sweat wrote.

“I just remember you said this about me back in the day. I’ll see y’all in NYC Aug 3rd when I get to the key to the city. You need to be there with me and everything is squashed.”

Minutes later, the G-Unit general responded to Sweat.

“oh no, I was tripping when I wrote that, yo ass better be in Shreveport [ninja],” he wrote. “we need that grown and sexy shit ! @keithsweat stop playing get your ass on da jet man.”
