A 30-year-old mason, identified as Shadrack, also known as Kwaata, has been accused of killing three individuals, including his girlfriend, a two-week-old baby, and his four-year-old stepson at Asuoso in the Offinso North District of the Ashanti Region

The incident is reported to have occurred on Monday, January 29, 2024, according to local sources. The mother of Portia Yerebe, Shadrack’s girlfriend, visited their residence in the morning but discovered that the door was locked. Concerned, the mother returned later in the evening and, with the help of others, forced entry into the room.

Tragically, the lifeless bodies of Portia Yerebe, the two-week-old baby, and the four-year-old stepson, Nti Joseph, were found inside the room. Portia Yerebe was allegedly killed with a sharp object, while the two children exhibited signs of poisoning, indicated by foam around their mouths.

The suspect, Kwaata, is currently at large, and the police have taken the bodies to a morgue for autopsy. The community is left in shock and grief as they grapple with the aftermath of this horrifying incident
