Stonebwoy has emerged as the Artiste of the Year after beating King Promise, Nacee, Black Sherif, and Sarkodie to claim the prestigious award at the 25th edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA)

The event featured outstanding performances by Stonebwoy, King Promise, Efya, Kuame Eugene, and Mr Drew. A special tribute was paid to Amakye Dede, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Kwabena Kwabena, Fameye, Epixode, and Eno Barony were recruited to pay homage to the legendary Highlife singer Amakye Dede by performing renditions of his songs.

Later Amakye Dede himself took the stage, captivating the audience with a medley of his classic hits.

Stonebwoy had already secured four awards earlier in the evening before clinching the coveted Artiste of the Year title.

This win further solidified his reputation as one of the most consistent and talented artists in the history of Ghanaian music.

“I just want to say thanks to the Most High God. Thank you mama wherever you are, thank you for showering your blessings upon your son. I wrote a long speech but I am lost for words,” Stonebwoy said while accepting his award.
