A fight between two commercial motorbike riders, popularly referred to as okada riders has ended on a sad note.
Thirty-Three (33) year old Agbesi Davor is now deceased after his colleague rider, Twenty-Two (22) year old Agorsor Christian, stabbed him with a screw driver.
The incident occurred on Friday, 20th January, 2023, at Dagbamatey in the Akatsi South Municipality of the Volta Region.
The two were allegedly arguing over whose turn it was to pick a commuter who had requested for their service.
The suspect, who’s now in police custody, is said to have stabbed the deceased after he had succeeded in picking the commuter over him.
His colleague is said to have given up the ghost while he was being taken to the Abor Sacred Heart Hospital for medical care.
The Assembly Member for the Avernorpedo Electoral Area, Rapheal Ahiable, told Citi News that the suspect is currently in police custody assisting with investigations.
