Smith, a 2021 Wabash High School alumnus, dazzled the panel of judges and audience with his renditions of Alanis Morissette’s “Ironic” and a duet with fellow competitor Haven Madison singing Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud.”

While regular judges Katy Perry and Lionel Richie were performing abroad to commemorate King Charles III’s coronation, Morissette and Sheeran served as the show’s guest judges for that particular episode.

Smith’s advancement is a crucial turning point in his musical career and has brought him widespread acclaim.

If Smith makes it to the top three, he will have the chance to perform in his hometown of Wabash for the episode that takes the finalist back to their roots. The remaining five singers will compete in a future Disney-themed episode.

Smith’s success on American Idol has opened doors for other budding musicians across Indiana and the nation. The young artist’s supporters and viewers of the show are anxiously anticipating what he will accomplish next. In the entertainment sector, audio recording is essential, but recording outside is more difficult.

American Idol is an American singing competition television series created by Simon Fuller, produced by Fremantle North America and 19 Entertainment, and distributed by Fremantle North America.

For 15 seasons, it was shown on Fox from June 11, 2002, to April 7, 2016. Before a comeback of the show started airing on ABC on March 11, 2018, it had been on hiatus for two years.

It began as an extension of the Idols concept based on Pop Idol from British television and went on to become one of the most popular programs in American television history.

The idea of the show is to find recording stars from undiscovered singing talent, with American fans using phones, the internet, and SMS text voting to choose the winner.

The winners of the first twenty seasons, as chosen by viewers, are Kelly Clarkson, Ruben Studdard, Fantasia Barrino, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Hicks, Jordin Sparks, David Cook, Kris Allen, Lee DeWyze, Scotty McCreery, Phillip Phillips, Candice Glover, Caleb Johnson, Nick Fradiani, Trent Harmon, Maddie Poppe, Laine Hardy, Just Sam, Chayce Beckham, and Noah Thompson.
