Yvonne Nelson Is A Citizen, Not Spectator- Singer Nero X

Takoradi-based Ghanaian musician, Nero X has praised Yvonne Nelson for embodying the popular Ghanaian mantra of being a citizen, not a spectator.

He made these remarks during an interview with Amansan Krakye of Property FM. Furthermore, he highlighted the disappointing low turnout at the second edition of the Dumsor Must vigil on June 8, 2024.

According to Nero X, Yvonne Nelson’s courage in leading the vigil during the administrations of Mahama and Akufo-Addo showcases her strength and determination.

“This is a hallmark of a good citizen because during Mahama’s time, Yvonne Nelson came out against whatever that was happening at that time,” he opined on Cape Coast’s Property FM as MyNewsGh.com observed.

“Now she feels that this time around too during Akufo-Addo’s administration something is happening so let me also come out and this is a good citizen just like myself.

“We support this person at this particular point in time but when we realize the person is messing up after winning elections then we switch to support someone else.”

In a related development, Ghanaian entertainment pundit, Whitney Boakye recently expressed surprise at the noticeable absence of NDC MPs at the Dumsor Must Stop protest.

She stated that this event presented a prime chance for opposition parties, particularly the largest one, the National Democratic Congress, to further address the pressing issue that they have consistently brought up in parliament and various media outlets.

During an appearance on United Showbiz, Whitney made this observation while fellow guests such as Mr. Logic, Bullet, Ola Michael, and Nana Romeo shared their perspectives on the protest that took place on June 8, 2024.

“Event organizers now find themselves compelled to factor generator costs into their budgets due to uncertainty over power supply.

“It’s become a matter of knowing the prices and making the necessary arrangements. Unfortunately, there seems to be a tendency to adapt rather than address the underlying challenges,” Whitney said.
