Nigerian comedian and skit maker Brain Jotter has sat down with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, sharing insights into his journey to becoming a full-time comedian.
Known for his humorous takes on everyday life, Brain Jotter revealed that his path to professional comedy took a pivotal turn when he received his first paycheck from YouTube.
He recalled the moment he realized his comedy sketches could be more than just a hobby, marking a milestone that changed his career trajectory.
“It was when I got my first paycheck from YouTube,” he said. After monetizing his channel, the income he received gave him the confidence to invest more in his craft.
Recognizing the industry’s potential, he committed to refining his work and elevating his comedic skills to reach new heights.
Currently, Brain Jotter is in Ghana, not just for media rounds but also to participate in an eagerly awaited stage production titled You Play Me, I Play You.
Written by the renowned late Ghanaian playwright Efo Kodjo Mawugbe, the satire is directed by Fiifi Coleman and promises to be a compelling theatrical experience.
The production will be staged at Ghana’s National Theatre and the Bukom Boxing Arena, showcasing a powerful blend of comedy, drama, and cultural commentary.
Produced by Africa Arts Network, You Play Me, I Play You assembles an impressive cast, featuring both local and international talent, including Ghanaian actors Jeneral Ntatia and Clemento Suarez, alongside Brain Jotter from Nigeria.
