The self-proclaimed Dancehall King had remarked that many artists lack the drive to seize financial opportunities, a comment that sparked debates among industry players. However, Fameye, known for his calm and reflective nature, chose to take the high road.
“Shatta Wale speaks the truth, but sometimes how he says it makes people misunderstand him,” Fameye remarked, offering a nuanced perspective. “He’s an inspiration to many of us. Even though his words can be harsh, they push us to work harder and aim higher.”
Fameye explained that Shatta Wale’s tendency to flaunt his wealth and call out fellow artists often creates a competitive atmosphere that fuels ambition within the industry. He credited Shatta Wale for motivating many artists to elevate their craft and explore greater opportunities.
While acknowledging the positive intent behind Shatta Wale’s actions, Fameye suggested that toning down the aggressive delivery could help the Dancehall King connect with a broader audience.
“He’s like a big brother who wants the best for everyone. But if he could soften his approach a little, I think more people would appreciate his message,” he added with a smile.
