After all the trolling and speculation surrounding her marriage to 64-year-old businessman Ned Nwoko, Nigerian actress Regina Daniels is finally opening up about how her love story began — and it’s not at all what fans might expect.
In a recent live session with fans that has dominated entertainment news portals, the 24-year-old star shared the humorous and unexpected tale of how an ordinary visit to her boyfriend turned into the moment she met her future husband.

“I was going to visit my boyfriend,” Regina began, grinning as she recounted the day that would change her life.
“I was so angry, I was like, ‘Mum, why do we all need to go visit and go sightseeing?’” At the time, Regina was less than thrilled to join her mother’s plan for a family outing, hoping instead to spend one-on-one time with her boyfriend.
But things took an unexpected turn when they arrived. “When we got there, we met a cute man,” she laughed, adding, “Moral of the story: Your boyfriend should not stop you from finding your husband.” It was a moment that caught her completely off guard. “When I saw him with my mum,” she continued, “I forgot I was supposed to have a boyfriend!”
With a mischievous grin, Regina shared a playful confession about her past dating life. “At that time, I had like 20 boyfriends. All serving different purposes,” she joked, sending her fans into laughter.
This unexpected encounter with Nwoko, she explained, was entirely serendipitous, and the choice to marry him was hers alone.

She set the record straight: “People think I didn’t have a choice or that my mum forced me. But, actually, my mum was against it. My whole family said no.” Smiling, she added, “One day, I am going to share our story.”
