Stonebwoy has highlighted the core message of his newest track, Your Body, in an interview with France 24 English TV channel.
According to him, the song aims to promote self-confidence among women and encourage them to focus on their inner worth rather than societal beauty standards.
Amidst discussions on the challenges women face due to societal expectations and beauty norms,
Stonebwoy reiterated the importance of self-love and empowerment conveyed through the song, an explanation that has resonated with entertainment news in Ghana.
“Your body is the beauty standard, not what they say.
“I want women around the world to understand that I see what’s going on. Beauty standards are constantly shifting, causing discomfort for many.
“But you are unique and beautiful just the way you are.”
Stonebwoy was in the news recently when he expressed unhappiness with the fact that the government of Ghana was not proactive in taking steps to make the country a founding member of the newly established Grammys Africa.
The Ghanaian Dancehall/Reggae specialist highlighted the potential benefits for Ghana known for its diverse music genres and globally recognized hit songs.
Stonebwoy also acknowledged Dentaa Amoateng and others for their efforts to create this opportunity for Ghana, while also raising concerns about the country’s financial constraints in finalizing the service agreement.
He emphasized that Ghana’s involvement in the Grammys Africa initiative would not only enrich the country’s cultural influence but also bring significant economic opportunities to the creative industry.
