Brymo has escalated his ongoing feud with Burna Boy by publicly stating on social media that Burna Boy should exit the pop scene because he cannot sing well.
Brymo also extended an offer to assist the Grammy winner with his music, emphasizing that Burna Boy should approach him respectfully and ask for help “like a man.”
Brymo said; “@BURNABOYGRAM ; Yo! three things ….1, you need to leave the pop scene, you are seriously looking almost ugly, and with voice like mine that can’t really sing to boot. Take a cause and focus, you need to give the world the things you were deprived.
“2. I am on deity level, any wonder why you can’t resist the yearning for my attention, not even your international renown is enough to make you look past me who does not have anything supposedly close to what you are purported to have what do you want??.. i can help if you ask like a man, and respectfully!!”
This is not the first time Brymo has attacked Burna Boy in their seeming one-sided beef. A few months ago in an interview with TVC News, Brymo accused Burna Boy of being unoriginal, cheap, and fake.
He claimed that Burna Boy’s songs are mere samples of other artists’ work and that many of his slogans are stolen. Brymo also questioned how Burna Boy won a Grammy award with his music style, comparing himself to Jesus.
Additionally, Brymo emphasized that Afrobeats is a music style, not a genre, and credited the late Fela Kuti as the pioneer of the Afrobeat genre.
He alleged that Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido appropriated Fela’s music genre without truly understanding the struggles he faced while creating it.
The 37-year-old singer criticized the new generation of artists for diluting genres by primarily focusing on renaming what the older generation had already established rather than building upon their foundations.
