Tension has erupted between KCee and Flavour over accusations of imitation.
It all started when KCee released his latest track, which some fans believed bore a striking resemblance to Flavour’s hit song “Doings.”
Flavour, not one to hold back, took to Twitter to throw shade, commenting cryptically, “Copy copy akaria,” which ignited a wave of speculation and chatter online.

Taking offence, KCee decided to address the situation head-on through his X page, making it clear that he would not stand for being labelled a copycat. “BRO!!!!!!
“We are not on the same level,” KCee asserted. “Pick your battles carefully. Stop trying to gatekeep Igbo culture. You’re not a custodian. I’ve been in this game before you. It belongs to all. You don’t own this genre of music.
“My music celebrates our heritage, and I won’t apologize.” KCee’s impassioned response didn’t stop there. He emphasized his dedication to authenticity and cultural pride.
“In an ocean of things that matter, you’re like a needle.

“People recognize authenticity. I’ll continue celebrating our culture unapologetically. Spend your energy on success, not diminishing mine.
“I’ve never been the type to go head-to-head, but I’m calling out this bullshit because I won’t be disrespected… No way… I’ve come too far for anyone to downplay my sweat and hard work. HELL NO!!!!” he declared.
This clash has not only highlighted the competitive nature of the music industry but also underscored the deep cultural pride both artists hold.
