George Quaye has taken the initiative to write a heartfelt letter to Ebenezer Smith, aka Chef Smith to uplift his spirits during this challenging time.

Amidst the ongoing storm of controversy surrounding Chef Smith, George Quaye’s message stands out as a beacon of support and encouragement.

As the Ghanaian public remains engrossed in various entertainment news outlets and social media platforms, George Quaye’s words serve as a reminder for Chef Smith to hold his head high despite the challenges he is facing.

The media personality and the president of the Arts and Tourism Association of Ghana (ATWAG) commended Chef Smith for taking responsibility for his actions and offering a sincere apology.

Mr Quaye shared his thoughts on Chef Smith’s apology in a Facebook post, describing it as a courageous and commendable gesture amid widespread disappointment and criticism.

Here’s his full post;

“Chef Smith,

This might not be the message you expect, but I’m gonna share it anyway… Dude, you did the right thing.

Yes, the disappointment cuts deep, we all know that. People are disappointed, angry, and yes, making all kinds of jokes. It’s a lot to process. But through the storm, you did something I think is incredibly honorable – you apologized.

Listen, in Ghana, owning up to mistakes isn’t always easy. We roast hard and can make you even hate yourself for doing the right thing.

And wait, did I hear you say you didn’t deserve to live? Like seriously? Why? Because you lied? Come on dude! Take that back! You absolutely deserve to live! Trust me, there are people who’ve done far worse walking around just fine.

You messed up, yes, but millions make mistakes.

What separates us is how we handle them.

If even half the people on these streets could muster the courage you did today, this country would be a whole lot better.

You don’t deserve to live in the darkness of a lie. You deserve a chance to rebuild, to learn, and to cook with the passion that probably fueled this whole crazy dream in the first place.

This isn’t the end, Chef. It’s a new chapter.

And hey, we all deserve 2nd chances.

So though I’m dead damn disappointed in the fib you cooked and served us all, I am more than willing to give you a second chance and pray that others do too.

Please find a way to make it up to your sponsors.

Even if you cooked up that apology…

Even if the tears and words were all contrived…

You do deserve to live, Chef Smith!

And you totally deserve another opportunity to do what you do best…

Cook!”
