Ghanaian rapper Medikal, born Samuel Adu Frimpong, has opened up about his romantic life following his widely publicized divorce from actress Fella Makafui.

In an interview on Daybreak Hitz with Andy Dosty, the former VGMA Rapper of the Year candidly addressed rumours and shared insight into his life post-divorce.

When Andy Dosty asked if he had moved on and found someone new, Medikal didn’t hold back. “Yes, I have,” he admitted with a smile. “I’m human, Andy. Life moves on, and I’ve found someone who makes me happy. It’s a natural part of life.”

Medikal affectionately referred to as MDK by his fans, revealed that he is serious about his new relationship and has plans to marry his mystery partner.

However, he quickly clarified his stance on maintaining a low profile regarding his romantic affairs. “I’ve learned from my past. My personal life doesn’t have to be a public spectacle,” he said, alluding to the extensive public attention his previous marriage received.

Medikal’s separation from Fella Makafui earlier this year marked the end of a relationship that had been a staple in Ghana’s entertainment headlines.

The former couple, who share a daughter, Island Frimpong, had their fair share of ups and downs, with social media often acting as the stage for their love and challenges.

Reflecting on those experiences, Medikal expressed a desire to handle his new relationship differently.

“Social media has its pros, but when it comes to love, I’ve learned that privacy is peace. My new partner understands this, and we both want to build something solid, away from the noise,” he shared.
