Nigerian artiste Yemi Alade has revealed the key to her continued success in the music industry after an impressive fourteen-year career.
She suggested that despite the emergence of new talented artists, Alade remains relevant due to her unwavering passion for music and her belief that she has been chosen as a messenger through this art form.
When asked about her ability to reinvent herself in an industry that constantly produces fresh talent, the songstress acknowledged the challenges but emphasized that she has persevered because she is a resilient individual.
Alade firmly believes that tough times are temporary, but tough individuals endure and thrive.
In her words; “Officially, I have been in the industry for 14 years, counting from when I released my first song titled, ‘Fimisile’, and featuring Eldee tha Don.”
“I love music. It is actually the one thing that I am gifted at. I am deeply rooted and connected to music. It has chosen me as its messenger.”
Yemi added; “The music industry has always been tough, even before I showed any interest in it. And, it will continue to be tough. However, it is said that ‘tough times never last but tough people do’. I believe that the strongest will always survive, ” she told TOFARATI IGE in an interview.
