Yaw Dabo’s club has reportedly secured a spot in Ghana’s Division Two league, bringing immense joy to the actor and entrepreneur.
The team’s impressive performance in the Division One league earned them the promotion. Yaw Dabo expressed his excitement on social media, revealing his future strategies.
To appreciate the efforts of the staff and players, Yaw Dabo organized a celebration.
Additionally, Dabo is planning to visit Wenchi and Techiman for an event aimed at discovering new talents to enhance his team’s performance as they move up to Division Two.
During a previous interview, Yaw Dabo disclosed that the primary motive behind establishing a football academy is to assist underprivileged, yet talented, footballers. Dabo expressed his intention to contribute to society by actively visiting orphanages and villages to scout potential players for his academy.
“I have the Dabo Soccer Academy because we have to support others. That’s my dream because, when you get money, you have to give it to somebody because everybody needs help,” he told Marca.
“Me, too. I need help. My brother needs help. So I want to give back to my society to support others. I go to orphanages and I go to the villages to bring talented players to everybody to see that in Ghana we have very talented players.
“A lot of good players are in the academy and go to school. I have workers, coaches and caterers to support the football team. I have everybody. I came to Europe to find a solution to support my academy,” he said.
In a related development, Yaw Dabo was granted an audience by Marca TV to tour their studios after an interview he granted to the esteemed media house in Spain went viral.
Tru News Report had earlier revealed that Yaw Dabo went viral on the Ghanaian landscape of the internet after his explosive interview he granted to a foreign journalist from Marca in Spain immediately after the epic clash between Real Madrid and Manchester City in the Champions League.
Apparently, the Ghanaian actor attended the first leg of the semi-final tie between Real Madrid and Manchester City at Santiago Bernabeu and the lenses of the unnamed journalist who was interviewing soccer fans randomly outside the stadium after the pulsating game that ended 1-1.
Dabo was disappointed in the result but expressed optimism that Real Madrid have the quality to go through at the expense of the English giant who are chasing a treble this season.
The actor warned Erling Haaland that Real Madrid will cut off his supplies, naming Kevin De Brune as the most dangerous player. Dabo asserted that Madrid should have received a few penalties and that the referee was biased and unfair to them.
