Yaw Dabo has waded into a heated exchange with US-based Ghanaian social commentator Kevin Taylor following a chain of controversial statements.
However, Yaw Dabo insists he has little interest in entertaining Kevin Taylor’s jabs, declaring, “I don’t have time for someone who thrives on insults.”
The drama unfolded when the Kumawood actor criticized Dela Edem, a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communications Team, over comments directed at former President John Agyekum Kufuor.
During an appearance on TV XYZ, Dela Edem had labelled the 85-year-old former president “evil” and suggested that his ongoing health struggles were consequences of alleged misdeeds during his time in office.

Dabo, known for his wit and outspokenness, condemned these remarks, calling them disrespectful and unwarranted.
“You don’t speak about a statesman like that, especially one who has contributed immensely to the nation’s growth,” Dabo asserted during an interview.
His defence of Kufuor drew sharp criticism from Kevin Taylor, who launched a scathing attack on Dabo’s character and relevance in the public space.
Taylor’s fiery response, widely shared on social media, accused Dabo of pandering to political interests for personal gain.
Despite the backlash, Yaw Dabo remains unfazed. “I stand by what I said. We must respect our elders and leaders, regardless of our differences,” he reiterated in a video response.
“Kevin Taylor is entitled to his opinions, but I won’t stoop to his level of insults and unnecessary attacks.”
