Wizkid has surprised the internet community by praising Don Jazzy, the founder of Marvin Records, despite previously disrespecting him.

Wizkid caused quite a stir on social media when he publicly criticized Don Jazzy, Davido, and Ladipoe, leaving netizens in a state of confusion due to his unexpected actions.

The diss towards Jazzy came after Wizkid referred to him as an influencer while responding to a supposed diss comment from Ladipoe, a signee of Mavin Records.

Rapper Ladipoe had posted about Afrobeats stars going through their own “Afrobeats is dead era” after Nigerian hip hop had experienced the “hip hop is dead era”.

Wizkid had previously commented that “hip hop was dead,” which received criticism and reactions from Nigerian rappers, leading to diss tracks from Oladips and Zila Oaks aimed at the Grammy winner.

Some fans interpreted Ladipoe’s comments as targeting Wizkid, which was brought to his attention during an online interactive session with fans.

Wizkid responded to Ladipoe’s statement by stating that he wouldn’t engage with a rapper signed to an influencer, which drew criticism for being disrespectful towards Mavin Records boss Don Jazzy.
