Nigerian music sensation Wizkid has unveiled his highly anticipated sixth studio album, “Morayo”, a deeply personal tribute to his late mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun, who passed away in August 2023.
The 16-track album seamlessly blends Wizkid’s signature Afrobeats sound with global influences, featuring collaborations with acclaimed artists like Brent Faiyaz, Asake, Jazmine Sullivan, Anaïs Cardot, and Tiakola.
The album title, Morayo, meaning “I see joy” in Yoruba, reflects the emotional depth of the project. It includes standout singles like “Piece of My Heart,” featuring Brent Faiyaz, and the infectious dance anthem “Kese (Dance).” Both tracks achieved record-breaking success, with “Kese” amassing an impressive 1.5 million streams on Spotify Nigeria within its first day of release.
