In a moving tribute at the funeral of famed gospel musician Kofi Owusu Dua Anto, popularly known as KODA, his wife, Ewurama Dua Anto, expressed her deep love and admiration for her late husband.
“You were the best of husbands any wife could pray for and the best of fathers any child could pray for. You were a good man, sweety, I am forever grateful to God that I found you,” she said, reflecting on their time together.
As a woman of faith, Ewurama took solace in the belief that KODA is alive in heaven, thanks to the hope of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
“As believers, we rejoice in the fact that you are still alive in heaven. Praise be to Jesus who died to give us eternal life knowing that one day we will all live again. Till we meet again, sweety, we will miss you.”
In her tribute, she fondly remembered her husband’s walk, talk, and smile, expressing hope that they would one day be reunited. “
But I am consoled that one day we shall see that walk, talk, and smile of yours again. Rest in perfect peace, my love. I am forever thankful to God for bringing you into my life.”
Her words offered comfort to those present, reminding everyone of the assurance of eternal life. “As believers, we take comfort in knowing you are in heaven.
“Praise be to Jesus for the gift of eternal life. Until we meet again, my love, your spirit will always be with us. Rest peacefully, my darling,” Ewurama concluded, paying a touching farewell to her beloved husband.
KODA passed away on April 21, 2024, after a short illness. His death came as a shock to his family, friends, and fans, with his passing confirmed by close associates and media outlets. He was 46 years old and left behind a wife, Ewurama Dua-Anto, and three children.
