Why I’ve Stopped Paying Attention To Controversies – Efya

Efya says she doesn’t want her brand attached to any form of controversy because it does nothing to augment her brand.

She recently discussed her attitude of avoiding negativity and focusing on her loves, such as farming, in an interview on the Ladies Circle on TV3.

The Ghanaian songstress further claimed that she has had her fair share of rumors and criticism during her career from those who may not fully comprehend her experiences and journey. She is quoted by 3News as saying;

Everybody likes it when there is beef but I don’t feed into that, it is a waste of so much energy, I could be farming, it’s something I’m interested in. So I don’t pay attention to the controversy so you are talking to yourself. This is something I’ve learned over time. When I was younger, a lot of people will say things about me that they don’t know anything about. A lot of people will talk in a certain way not knowing what I’ve been through.

Furthermore, she revealed she has decided not to be distracted by unfounded allegations and to focus solely on her career.

She stated, “Even now sitting here a lot of people still say stuff about me that they don’t know about that is not certified or validated but they talk about it so confidently but at this point especially now I don’t pay attention to it because it does not give me any positive energy and I don’t think anybody should feed into energy that does not make them feel great.”
