Actress and former Big Brother Naija contestant Erica Nlewedim has revealed why she wants to keep her marriage off social media until after the ceremony.

She explained that due to the intense scrutiny and speculation that often surrounds celebrity relationships, she prefers to wait until the wedding is over before making any announcements.

This comes in light of the controversy surrounding Sharon Ooja’s wedding, where a blogger made unfounded claims about her husband’s past marriages.

Erica’s stance reflects the challenges that public figures face when sharing personal news, and she hopes to avoid unnecessary drama by keeping her wedding private.

Erica suggested that by choosing to keep her marriage news off of social media and opting for a private wedding ceremony, she is taking a stand against the invasive nature of celebrity gossip and the potential for misinformation to spread.

She wrote on Twitter; “At this rate, I will just let u know I’m married, cos Nigerians are not people to share your good news with🤦🏽‍♀️”
