Why I Stopped Attending SDA Church- Kwaku Manu

Published on

, Ghana Street Journal

Kwaku Manu recently spoke with Nana Romeo on Accra FM and opened up about his reasons for leaving the SDA church.

He believed that the only way he could become a great actor was to reject all of the beliefs and dogmas that the church upheld. As a well-known actor, Kwaku Manu claimed that he needed spiritual support to carry out his mission, but his church prevented him from doing so.

He claimed that shortly after leaving the SDA, he achieved success with the film “Aware So,” in which he popularized the phrase “Wo Ye Me Taste.” Beyond that, the Kumawood actor went political and spoke about the current state of the economy under the tutelage of Nana Akufo Addo and how several Ghanaians are fleeing the country to find a safe haven in America and Europe.
