Asuoden hitmaker, Sista Afia has revealed that she contemplated releasing a song dedicated to her ex-boyfriend who abruptly ended their relationship.
The singer mentioned that the pain she felt was so intense that she sought solace in the studio, intending to pour her emotions into a heartfelt track.
However, after careful consideration, the songstress, who initially started her musical journey as a highlife artist, decided to change her course.
Instead of dwelling on the past, she chose to take a step back, reflect on her experiences, and channel her energy into creating music that would inspire and uplift her audience.
“The last time I had my heart [broken] was in 2017. I almost released an album full of diss song because of how hurt I was at the time”, she said in a radio interview on Hitz FM.
When asked what she did wrong, she said, “I did nothing wrong. All I did was to love and be there for a man, you know, I tried to put my heart there for a man”.
Singer Sista Afia has shared that she had a dream where she saw herself winning a Grammy Award in a dream.
According to her, this dream serves as a source of motivation for her whenever she feels tired or discouraged in the music industry.
The talented artist disclosed this during an interview with renowned broadcaster and entrepreneur Bola Ray at Starr FM in Accra.
“I had a dream and I was receiving a GRAMMY Award. So that has spurred me on over the years. Even when I decide to give up, then I go back to what I saw in my dream and continue. I believe that with hard work the dream can be made reality,” she said.
