Efia Odo has shared her thoughts on the recent announcement made by NPP’s flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia regarding the introduction of a national individualized credit scoring system.
In response to Dr. Bawumia’s proposal, Efia Odo emphasized the importance of focusing on stabilizing the cedi, creating job opportunities, and implementing policies that would empower Ghanaians financially.
She also highlighted the need to address the concerns of healthcare professionals such as doctors and nurses who are seeking better-paying opportunities abroad due to salary disparities.
According to Efia Odo, the key priorities for the government should be to ensure financial liberation for its citizens and retain skilled professionals within the country.
In a post on her social media, she questioned the Vice President’s proposal stating “Do you know how many Americans that are in debt because of credit cards?
“Ghanaians don’t need this, what we need are jobs, well-paying jobs!! We need the cedi to STABILIZE. We need to keep our doctors and nurses home instead everyone is leaving because of low or unpaid wages.
“… A doctor in America can make anywhere from $100-500,000 a year. Do you know how much the average doctor makes yearly in Ghana? Nowhere close to those figures!! This credit card system is not a necessity!!!”
