The debate gained momentum after comedian Nasty Blaq voiced his concerns, questioning why people so frequently undermine Davido’s good intentions.
This conversation was sparked by an incident in which content creator Kortney accused Davido of preventing her from posting their interview online, which led to a flurry of reactions.
Samklef weighed in, attributing the issue to what he sees as a unique difference in Davido’s approach to helping others.
Drawing a comparison with Olamide—another prominent Nigerian artist known for supporting emerging talents—Samklef highlighted a significant contrast in their approaches.
While both have aided countless young artists, Samklef suggested that Davido’s acts of kindness often come with expectations, hinting that Davido seeks to control or acknowledge his support.
Olamide, on the other hand, seems to navigate his goodwill without any strings attached, which Samklef believes explains why he doesn’t face similar public pushback.
In a candid post, Samklef expressed, “Olamide has helped a lot of people more than Davido, so why is Davido the one being disrespected?
