US-based Ghanaian musician and socialite Dennis Anane, widely known as Archipalago, has weighed in on the recent controversy involving Sarkodie and Edem.
The incident, which has stirred conversations online, saw Sarkodie’s bodyguard preventing Edem from approaching the rapper while he made his way to the stage.
Archipalago, in a post on X, expressed his view that Edem should have exercised patience, given the intensity of the moment.
“Edem should have waited because Sarkodie was heated when making his way to the stage. And you know with such a situation, people will guard him, so you should have waited for him to finish,” he stated.
He further suggested that a more appropriate time for Edem to address whatever issue he had with Sarkodie would have been after the performance. “You could have spoken to him after his performance because you are also an industry player,” he added.
Despite his friendship with Edem, Archipalago did not shy away from pointing out that the approach was ill-timed.
“Edem, you are also my friend, but to be frank, what you did was wrong. You shouldn’t have done that at that point in time. Moreover, it was through you that Sarkodie became who he is today. So next time, refrain from actions that will bring social media trolls,” he advised.
The altercation between the two musicians has generated significant discussion, with many debating whether Edem’s actions were justified or if Sarkodie’s team was right to prevent him from getting close.
Archipalago’s comments add another perspective to the ongoing discourse within the entertainment industry.
