President John Dramani Mahama has expressed gratitude to former Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, for his dedicated service to the nation.

“Let me take this opportunity to also extend my deepest gratitude to the outgoing IGP. He has served our nation with dedication and commitment, and his contribution to law enforcement and national security will not be forgotten,” President Mahama stated.

Speaking at the swearing-in ceremony of the new IGP, COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno, he further acknowledged Dampare’s efforts, adding, “We thank him for his service, and we wish him well in his future endeavors.”

COP Yohuno now takes over leadership of the Ghana Police Service as the country looks forward to his tenure.
