The devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, California, have caught the attention of many, and Nigerian actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde is no exception.

Hours after returning to Nigeria, Omotola took to social media to express her deep concern for the city and the people who have been impacted by the fires.

According to the movie star, her friends in the city have been affected, and she may have to evacuate.

On January 8, 2025, the fires ravaged areas like Pacific Palisades and Altadena, leaving thousands displaced, homes destroyed, and at least five lives lost.

As the fires spread, fueled by the powerful Santa Ana winds, many residents and celebrities alike were forced to grapple with the destructive force of nature.

Omotola, who had been closely following the crisis, made her heartfelt plea for the city of Los Angeles during this troubling time.

In a post on social media, Omotola wrote, “Oh God please, we lift our city, Los Angeles, up before you… We need you…. Looking like I might have to evacuate… Oh Lord….! This is heartbreaking for my friends already affected. #LosAngelesFire.

She added, “THIS IS CRAZY! LORD HAVE MERCY! MY HEART GOES OUT TO MY FRIENDS AND FANS WHO HAVE BEEN AFFECTED SO FAR…” Her words echoed the sentiment of many residents who found themselves in the path of the raging wildfires.
