Veteran media personality Nana Aba Anamoah has taken a strong swipe at Mark Okraku-Mantey, questioning his contributions to the creative industry during his time in politics.
Okraku-Mantey, a seasoned music producer and former Deputy Minister for Tourism, Arts, and Culture, has faced mounting criticism over what many perceive as his failure to make a meaningful impact in the sector.
Despite rising from the entertainment industry, his tenure in government left many creatives feeling unheard and unsupported.
Speaking on UTV’s United Showbiz, Nana Aba Anamoah did not hold back in her critique. “Mark does not deserve the term ‘Honourable.’

He has not done anything honourable since he got into the political arena as a creative person to address our concerns,” she said.
She argued that Okraku-Mantey was in a prime position to effect change but failed to do so. “He was given a position that would allow him to make the space he is complaining about better. What was his impact?” she questioned.

Expressing further disappointment, she dismissed his credibility in speaking on matters concerning the industry.
“He sounds better when he is quiet. He shouldn’t talk about what people use their space for because he has not been impactful.
“His impact has been zero. Listening to him talk about the entertainment space sounds like watching paint dry,” she added.
The discussion also touched on the state of entertainment programs in Ghana, with Nana Aba questioning the relevance of United Showbiz itself. “Do you know that show is no longer showbiz? You people should change the name. They don’t do showbiz,” she remarked.
