The highly anticipated visuals for M.anifest’s new single “PUFF PUFF,” featuring The Cavemen and Red Hot Chili Peppers’ bassist Flea, have been released. Directed by Kevin Noonan, the music video perfectly captures the free-spirited vibe of the track.
The video showcases M.anifest, The Cavemen, and Flea performing in various warm, natural settings, including cruising down empty streets in a vintage car. The visuals amplify the song’s reflective and harmonious atmosphere, adding depth to its message.
“PUFF PUFF” is a powerful blend of hip-hop, jazz, and highlife, celebrating life and resilience. The collaboration between these diverse musical talents has resulted in a unique and innovative sound.
The track was originally unveiled on October 17, 2024. “PUFF PUFF” emerged from a serendipitous conversation between M.anifest and The Cavemen during his annual music festival, Manifestivities, in Accra two years ago. The collaboration took shape as M.anifest later reconnected with The Cavemen in Lagos to refine the track. The addition of Flea, who contributed a stunning trumpet solo during a session in Los Angeles, adds an unexpected twist to the song, blending diverse musical influences.
The single is described as a “meditation on life’s challenges and the resilience required to navigate them.”
