Veep Prof. Opoku-Agyemang Enstooled as Owoabrempong Kru-Kow I at Komenda

The Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has been honoured by the chiefs and people of Komenda with the stool name Owoabrempong Kru-Kow I.

Her enstoolment took place on Saturday, September 13, 2025, during this year’s Komendaman Nyeyi Festival, a colourful celebration that showcased the area’s rich culture through drumming, dancing, and traditional rites.

The title bestowed on the Vice President is a recognition of her immense contributions to education, national development, and her enduring commitment to leadership and service.

Addressing the gathering, the chiefs commended Professor Opoku-Agyemang for her tireless efforts to improve the lives of Ghanaians, particularly in the fields of education and social development. They expressed confidence that her enstoolment would strengthen the bond between traditional leadership and the state, paving the way for greater collaboration in advancing community development.

The ceremony not only highlighted the cultural pride of the people of Komenda but also underscored their respect and appreciation for the Vice President’s role as both a national leader and a partner in progress.
