Yvonne Martey serves as a project management executive at PrimeReach. She recently appeared on GHOne TV during an adult-oriented program to discuss the risks associated with indiscriminate kissing, sharing her personal experience with tonsillitis.
Yvonne revealed that she was once an avid kisser until she contracted the illness from her partner.
Tonsillitis is characterized by the inflammation of the two oval-shaped tissues located at the back of the throat, typically resulting from a viral infection, though it can also stem from a bacterial source.
Common symptoms include a sore throat, difficulty swallowing, and swollen lymph nodes. Treatment options vary from home remedies to surgical intervention.
Following her experience, Yvonne advises women to exercise caution regarding the frequency of their kissing, highlighting the potential health risks.
Yvonne then stated that she had entirely ceased kissing to safeguard her well-being.
“I am not a fan of kissing, and I never have been because my exes think I am rude. I have good kissing lips, but I got something I wasn’t supposed to get, which is tonsillitis. Thanks to God, I have recovered.
“It was so painful; I went through hell. It got to a point where I was given the option to remove my tonsils. So, I just try my best to stay away from all forms of kissing,” she said.
