Shina Peller, former Nigerian federal lawmaker and prominent entertainment mogul, has publicly dispelled rumours linking TikTok sensation Peller to his family lineage.
The speculation has gained traction recently, prompting fans and followers of both individuals to wonder if the two share familial ties.
Speaking during an interview with Channels TV, Shina Peller laid the matter to rest:
“I have heard about the TikTok star Peller, and a lot of people have asked me whether he’s a member of our family. Truly, Professor Peller’s family is quite extended, but he is not a member of the family.”
Peller went on to provide some historical context to the name that has become synonymous with both magic and entertainment in Nigeria.

“The name ‘Peller’ was given to our father as a magician, and it’s a name that the family has adopted since the time of my father. So, Peller, the comedian, is not a member of the Peller family.”
The legacy of the Peller name traces back to Professor Peller, Shina’s late father, who was a celebrated magician and illusionist, captivating audiences across Nigeria and beyond with his extraordinary performances.
His fame etched the Peller name into Nigerian history as a symbol of talent and innovation in the arts.
Shina, now a household name in his own right due to his ventures in entertainment, business, and politics, acknowledged the TikTok star’s clever use of the moniker.
“It’s a successful name. He’s just being smart. He’s been able to pop with the name. You can’t blame him, but I can tell you categorically that he’s not a member of the Peller family.”
