Ghanaian musician and radio personality, Blakk Rasta has vociferously expressed his discontent with the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), led by President Nana Akufo-Addo.
In a candid sentiment shared on his programme on 3FM, the outspoken presenter criticized President Akufo-Addo for his managerial incompetence, attributing it to a worsening economic situation and a decline in the standard of living across the nation.
He further elaborated that the extent of the NPP’s incompetence is so profound that even supernatural entities, such as ghosts, are cognizant of this decline.
“This Nana Akufo-Addo government has disappointed even ghosts. Journalists have been under attack. Under this government, freedom of speech has become a farce.
“A country that is struggling, a nation that is looking for serious people. All we see is politicians going around still telling us lies and looking down on our intellect.
“The NDC doesn’t need to tell us this. We are not dumb, we are not morons,” he said firmly.
Blakk Rasta also issued criticisms towards Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the incumbent Vice President of Ghana and the flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Blakk Rasta accused Bawumia of a pattern of deceit towards Ghanaians.
He intimated that there exists a discernible divide among Ghanaians, suggesting that they would reject candidates on a significant scale in this year’s elections.
“Ghana does not need the NDC to tell her that Bawumia has peddled lies and affectionately he is a liar. Are we all not in Ghana? Were we all not here when we heard this guy going around and peddling a lot of lies?”
Blakk Rasta recalled the period when former President John Dramani Mahama was labelled as incompetent by the New Patriotic Party (NPP), which led many Ghanaians to believe in the need for a more capable government.
“When Mahama was branded as inefficient, in fact, the word they used accurately at the time was incompetent. We all bought into it because we believed that he was incompetent.
“According to the NPP, everybody was suffering. We all looked forward to seeing this suffering ease down. We wanted to see a competent government in power.
“But today, what do we see? Gerontocracy embedded in kleptocracy. A government of old thieves. That’s what it means,” he added.
