Ghanaian singer and performer, Mr. Drew has given fans a glimpse into the realities of maintaining a bald head, revealing both the perks and challenges that come with his signature look.
In an interview on Daybreak Hitz on February 13, 2025, the artist spoke candidly about personal hygiene, self-care, and the discomfort of exposing his bare scalp to the scorching sun.
“It’s actually a nice feeling when you wake up in the morning and take a shower, the way the water runs smoothly. And also, when you walk in the sun for long and then take your shower, it’s very refreshing,” he expressed, highlighting one of the small joys of being bald.
However, beyond the refreshing showers, Mr. Drew noted that keeping a bald head requires strict hygiene practices.

While he has embraced the look, Mr. Drew admitted that there are challenges, particularly when working under the sun for extended periods.
“You can’t walk with it in the sun too because the sun will blaze your brain. When I have shoots during the day, I don’t like it because I always get headaches,” he added, shedding light on the discomfort he endures during outdoor video shoots.
Mr. Drew, whose music career has been marked by his energetic dance moves and Afrobeat-infused hits, has long been recognized for his distinctive appearance.
His bald head has become a key part of his image, setting him apart in the entertainment industry. However, as he revealed in the interview, maintaining the look is not as effortless as it seems.
