In the spotlight for her striking sense of style and undeniable beauty, Salma Mumin has often faced misjudgments about her image.
During an emotional conversation with Nana Romeo on Accra 100.5 FM, the actress and fashion enthusiast opened up about how the slay queen label has cast a shadow over her work and personal life, leaving her misunderstood and professionally affected.
“I’ve got a tattoo, I’m very beautiful, God has given me glory. I sell clothes, I wear them, and I pose in them—you have to do this for others to see and want to patronize,” she said, addressing the criticisms she has faced for embracing her love of fashion. “It looks like slaying, but it’s not.”
Salma shared the significant toll the stigma has taken on her career. “The tag has affected me a lot,” she revealed.
