Ghanaian entrepreneur and Guinness World Record contender Afua Asantewaa, has revealed that she did not receive any gifts or financial support from the government during her first sing-a-thon attempt.

“I didn’t receive anything from the government. The only thing I got was a medicine to heal my throat, and that was from the former vice president when he visited me during the performance,” she said in an interview with Nana Romeo on Accra FM.

Afua Asantewaa further addressed claims that donations were made on her behalf, stating, “I am told people gave gifts and cash.

“However, I would be lying if I said I received them. Moreover, I was working with a team, so most of these things went through them. Also, some people in T-shirts had my name. I don’t.”
