Ghanaian actor Prince David Osei has criticized the use of derogatory language in Parliament, calling on MPs to uphold civility in their discussions.
His remarks follow a controversial statement made against Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, daughter of the late former President Jerry John Rawlings, during parliamentary proceedings.
In a post on X on March 6, 2025, the actor expressed his disappointment over the incident, urging lawmakers to show respect in their engagements.
“This behaviour is unacceptable and inappropriate. Let’s maintain civility and decorum in our cabinet and parliamentary discussions,” he stated.

He further insisted that the MP responsible for the remark should retract and apologize. “The individual who made those remarks should issue an apology,” he added.
The controversy erupted after Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, the Member of Parliament for Klottey Korle, was referred to as the ‘daughter of a murderer’ during a parliamentary sitting on February 4, 2025.
The comment has since sparked unease in Parliament, with members of the Majority caucus particularly expressing concerns over its implications.
