Stonebwoy’s publicist has responded to the incident where Sarkodie’s team intervened and stopped Stonebwoy’s performance at the just-ended Tidal Rave Festival, which took place recently.
Famous artists like Samini, Joey B, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Kidi, and many more performed at the festival, giving concertgoers an exciting and unfiltered entertainment experience. However, things took an unexpected turn after Stonebwoy refused to end his performance, causing tension between himself and Sarkodie, who was supposed to perform after him.
The chaos started when Stonebwoy kept performing for a long time without stopping for Sarkodie to come on stage. In reaction, Sarkodie, led by DJ Mensah, intervened by instructing his DJ to stop playing, thereby putting an end to Stonebwoy’s performance. Because of this decision, the event was cut short. However, Sarkodie and his team have not yet commented on the situation.
Meanwhile, Stonebwoy’s publicist, Gerrard Israel, took to Facebook to express his dissatisfaction with the actions of Sarkodie’s team, deeming it very disrespectful and inappropriate for anyone, including an artist’s DJ, to interrupt another artist’s performance by turning off their microphone on stage.
“In the entertainment industry, adherence to schedules and set times is crucial, and really very disrespectful and not right at all for any one not even an artistes dj to try and turn off another artists mic on stage while they’re performing,” he said.
