The long-awaited African Magic Viewers Choice Awards weekend is finally here. The awards will be held tonight, May 20th, to honour all of the outstanding individuals who have made significant impacts in the world of movies.
The three-day event began on May 18 with a series of pre-show festivities, and the main night will take place tonight in Lagos, Nigeria, with top-tier industry professionals, film stars, and TV stars in attendance.
The annual event, which by tradition recognises outstanding performances in television, film, and entertainment, has added digital content creation throughout Nollywood and the entire African continent to the lineup.
Actors and actresses from across Africa gathered in the thriving city of Lagos for the celebration. The first part of the main event for the 9th annual Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, AMVCA, has begun in grand style with four red carpet hosts: Toke Makinwa (Nigeria), Uti Nwachukwu (Nigeria), Sika Osei (Ghana), and VJ Adams (Nigeria).
Red carpet coverage begins on all Africa Magic channels on DSTV at 1700 CAT (1600 WAT) with hosts Toke Makinwa, Sir Uti, Sika Osei, and VJ Adams.
IK Osakioduwa, a radio and TV personality, and Zozi Tunzi, the 2019 Miss South Africa Universe, will serve as the event’s hosts this year.
