GhanaWeb has reported the unfortunate passing of Nhyira Marfo Okyere, one of he leading singers and co-founders of the renowned Ghanaian gospel group Team Eternity.
This heartbreaking news was shared by blogger Zhikay Ikejunior during an interview with GhanaWeb, where he referenced a post on his Facebook page.
Zhikay, who has close ties to the group, indicated that Nhyira passed away around midnight on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, although the specific cause of death has not yet been disclosed.
Despite this confirmation, there has been no formal statement released by either the family or Team Eternity.
The website goes on to say Nhyira’s last public performance took place at an event on Sunday, August 2, 2024, marking her final ministration.
The gospel community is now awaiting further information and an official announcement from the family or the group.
