Ghanaian actor Sunsum Ahuofe has become the talk of social media after celebrating his birthday in grand style.

The actor turned a year older on Saturday, November 23, and marked the occasion with a lavish party attended by family, friends, and fans.

While the event itself was vibrant and joyous, it was Sunsum’s mother who stole the show. Making her first-ever public appearance, the resemblance between the actor and his mother left attendees and social media users in awe.

In a video from the celebration that has since gone viral, fans struggled to tell the two apart, jokingly pointing out that Sunsum looked like a male version of his mother, with the only notable difference being her wig.

“She literally gave birth to herself!” one fan remarked in the comments section of the video. Another wrote, “Now we know where Sunsum got his features from. They’re twins!”

The birthday party, held in Kumasi, featured lively music, dancing, and heartfelt moments. Sunsum, dressed in a stylish traditional outfit, was all smiles as he mingled with guests and shared the spotlight with his mother.

He also expressed gratitude for the love and support he has received over the years, both from his fans and his family.

“This day is special not just because it’s my birthday but because I get to celebrate it with the people I care about most,” Sunsum said during a brief speech.

Turning to his mother, he added, “Mama, I owe everything to you. Thank you for bringing me into this world and for always standing by me.”
