Rapper Strongman has opened up about his connection with God and his beliefs regarding praying in tongues.
In an interview on Joy Prime’s Prime Morning show, he expressed that he maintains a strong bond with his Maker and does engage in prayer, albeit not in tongues.
Strongman explained that he is playful and doesn’t feel compelled to pray in any given situation.
Interestingly, he revealed that his popular song Transformer was born out of a deeply spiritual prayer session with God.
When asked about his stance on praying in tongues, the rapper shared that he finds it peculiar to communicate with God in a language he doesn’t comprehend.
I do pray a lot. I’m just not a frequent churchgoer, but I pray a lot. I have never prayed in tongues before. Honestly, I don’t believe in it that much.
The rapper, however, said that he is not trying to discourage anyone from doing what they believe in and that it is just his beliefs because it doesn’t work for him.
I just say it how I’m supposed to say it: ‘God, I’m going to Accra. Help me to reach safely’ and that’s it, I’m done.
Strongman was in the news recently when he revealed the sole requirement that would motivate him to release a fresh track and maintain a consistent musical output.

In a bold move, he expressed his desire for pampering as the exclusive condition that would inspire him to grace the audience with his lyrical prowess.
He said on X: “These days if Ghanaians will be able to listen to a rap song unless Naasei is ready to drop 😂 If u guys don’t pamper me I won’t drop oo,” he said.
