The highly anticipated 2024 3Music Awards took centre stage last night at the Palms Convention Center in Accra, showcasing the best of Ghanaian music.

The ceremony, hosted by the dynamic duo of Jay Foley and Efia Odo, was an unforgettable celebration filled with thrilling performances and well-deserved honours.

The event kicked off with a vibrant energy, setting the tone for a night dedicated to acknowledging the remarkable talents that have defined the Ghanaian music scene over the past year. The hosts kept the audience engaged with their charm and humor, while the performers delivered show-stopping numbers that left the crowd on its feet.

One of the night’s most talked-about aspects was the range of performances, which featured some of the industry’s hottest names.

Rising star Kwesi Amewuga captivated the audience with his energetic set, while reggae and afrobeat fusion artist Knii Lante delivered a performance that showcased his smooth vocal prowess. Enam, known for her genre-bending music, also took the stage with an electrifying display of talent that drew loud cheers from the crowd.

Sarfo Newman kept the energy high with a thrilling performance, while gospel acts Nacee and Piesie Esther brought a spiritual dimension to the evening.

Their powerful worship-inspired sets were not only crowd favourites but also a reminder of the diversity of music celebrated at the 3Music Awards.

The contrast between the spiritual atmosphere created by Nacee and Piesie Esther and the high-energy performances of the other acts highlighted the range of artistic talent present in Ghanaian music today.

The night would not have been complete without Lyrical Joe, one of Ghana’s fastest-rising rappers, delivering a show-stopping performance.

Known for his rapid-fire lyrics and commanding stage presence, Lyrical Joe once again proved why he is a force to be reckoned with in the industry.

Adina, celebrated for her beautiful voice and charisma, also took the stage, enchanting the audience with a soulful set that reminded everyone of her versatility and talent as one of Ghana’s leading female artists.

As the awards were handed out, it became clear that the night was about more than just recognizing talent—it was a celebration of the music that has shaped Ghana’s cultural landscape.

The winners of the night were a mix of established names and rising stars, all of whom have contributed significantly to the vibrancy of Ghana’s music industry.

The 3Music Awards has become one of the most prestigious platforms for celebrating African music and its creators.

From the hosts to the performers, and the awards themselves, the 2024 edition reinforced the power of music to bring people together and shine a spotlight on the incredible talent emerging from Ghana and beyond.

The night was a triumph not only for the winners but for all those who are part of the industry, contributing to the rich tapestry of sounds that make up Ghanaian music.
