Stonebwoy has expressed his frustration towards critics who questioned the legitimacy of his Bachelor of Science in Public Administration from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
Speaking on the Breakfast Show on GTV, the award-winning Dancehall artiste condemned the negative mindset of these individuals, describing it as rooted in poverty and malice.
He passionately defended the integrity of his academic achievements, emphasizing the hard work he invested in his studies.
Stonebwoy clarified that his degree was not awarded due to his celebrity status, but rather through a stringent academic process at GIMPA, which includes surveillance in examination rooms, making it impossible to circumvent the institution’s protocols.
“I want to address these naysayers because sometimes their noise drowns out the truth. There are cameras in the exam halls, which shows how difficult it is to cheat. You have to study; you can’t beat the system,” he said.
“Ahwenepa nkasa [‘quality beads’ don’t make much noise], but when we stay silent for too long, it allows foolishness to prevail. Claiming GIMPA gifted me the certificate, what poverty-stricken mentality is that? What kind of failure mentality is that?” he asked.
He further defended his academic efforts by explaining that his schedule necessitated attending evening classes.
“I had to attend evening classes because the morning option didn’t fit my schedule. It’s not easy, there are even cameras in the exam hall, let nobody lie to anyone,” he stated.
