Stonebwoy Called Out By Social Media Users For Switching Focus to Black Princesses After Black Stars Disgrace

Stonebwoy has stirred up controversy online by sharing statistics from the Black Princesses, who have impressively scored 16 goals in five matches during their qualifiers for the 2024 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

These stats highlight the exceptional performance of Ghana’s women’s team, as they have only conceded two goals and netted sixteen against their six opponents on their journey to Columbia.

Under normal circumstances, Stonebwoy’s post would have gone unnoticed without any implications or interpretations. However, some individuals have accused him of being a hypocrite due to the timing of his post, which coincided with the Black Stars’ elimination from the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations.

Critics argue that the post mocks the Black Stars, the very team Stonebwoy was supporting and even attended one of their games against Egypt, which ended in an exhilarating 2-2 draw.

Ghanaians were left in despair as Mozambique snatched a thrilling 2-2 draw in the dying moments of their final Group B match, ultimately eliminating them from the AFCON.

Despite holding a comfortable 2-0 lead and appearing poised to advance to the knockout stage, disaster struck in the final minute when the Mambas scored two quick goals to secure a draw and ultimately send Ghana packing from the competition.

Ghana started strongly, with Mozambique’s goalkeeper, Ivane Oficial Urrubal, making an impressive save to deny Antoine Semenyo’s attempt.

The breakthrough for the Black Stars came in the 15th minute when Jordan Ayew successfully converted a penalty kick earned by Paintsil.

Despite Mozambique’s efforts to mount a comeback in the second half, Ghana’s goalkeeper, Richard Ofori, showcased his skills with a crucial save against Bruno Alberto Langa. The Black Stars extended their lead in the 70th minute, as Jordan Ayew confidently converted another penalty.

However, Mozambique managed to pull one back in the 90th minute, with Geny Catamo scoring from the spot after a handball by Ghana’s captain, Andre Ayew. In a stunning turn of events during stoppage time, Mozambique’s Reinaldo Mandava headed home a corner kick by Shaquille Momad Nangy, securing a dramatic draw.
