Award-winning Ghanaian female broadcast journalist Nana Yaa Brefo has officially announced her resignation as an employee of Angel Broadcasting Network.
In a statement shared on her social media handles on Monday, 25 December 2023, her resignation took effect on December 1, 2023.
“After careful consideration, I, Nana Yaa Brefo Danso, announce my resignation from the esteemed positions of Co-Host for the Morning Show and Head of News TV at Angelfm/TV, effective December 1, 2023,” she wrote.
While expressing gratitude to her former employers, Nana Yaa noted that her decision to resign was a difficult one which she made after giving it a careful consideration.
“It has been an honor and privilege to serve in these capacities, and I am immensely grateful for the opportunities for professional growth and development provided by Angelfm/TV. 1 extend my heartfelt appreciation to the viewers, colleagues, and management for their unwavering support during my tenure.
“This decision was not made lightly, and I believe it is the right time for me to explore new avenues in my career,” the statement.
In a caption accompanying her statement, Nana Yaa Brefo apologised to persons who may be disappointed by her decision.
“Sorry if I disappointed u (SIC),” she wrote.
Nana Yaa Brefo in May 2020 resigned from the Multimedia Group after 1o years of working as a journalist and presenter with Adom FM/Adom TV.
She subsequently joined Angel FM/Angel TV as co-host of their flagship morning show.
